investors, new businesses, and visitors, an effective promotion strategy forges a positive image through advertising, retail promotional activity, and special events.
Committee Events and Work Plan Items
Taste of Dupont -
an annual event that showcases the fine food and fine art of Dupont Circle.
Dupont Circulator - a free monthly social event
for Dupont Circle residents and business people. This event is sponsored
by a different neighborhood restaurant, hotel or bar every month. These
events also often have a retail sponsor who sets up a merchandise table.
Dupont Circle Wine Club - The wine club meets
three or four times a year at a local restaurant to discuss wine and sample fine
foods. This is a ticketed event whose proceeds go to support the Main
Streets program.
Spring Fling & Silent Auction - This is the
annual HDCMS gala event. It is a ticketed event with a silent auction.
Proceeds go to support the HDCMS program and to beautification projects in the
Commercial District.
Dupont-Kalorama Museums
Consortium partnership - HDCMS seeks to better partner the business
community with neighborhood institutions. HDCMS aids in marketing the
DKMC's annual Museum Walk and Open House in early June.
