Economic Enhancement Committee

By helping existing downtown businesses expand and recruiting new ones to respond to today's market, Main Street programs help convert unused space into productive property and sharpen the competitiveness of business enterprises

 Committee Events and Work Plan Items

P Street Streetscape - Assist P Street businesses negotiate the reconstruction of P Street between Dupont Circle and Rock Creek.  The committee is working on promotional activities to coincide with construction.

Parking Improvements - Finding creative ways to improve parking for Dupont Circle businesses.  Including the securing of lots for use by valet services.

Technical Assistance - The EE Committee can help small business owners to solve many different problems.  The EE committee can assist Dupont Circle business with issues relating to signage, merchandising, marketing, staffing and much more.    

Homelessness - Assisting social service providers in Dupont Circle.  Charlie's Place is an important provider of social services run out of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church, 1830 Connecticut Avenue.
