renew their lease and the person who runs it wants to
retire.
Dupont Optical is moving a few doors south to above
Daily Market/Prego on 17th.

WBJ reports Jim Abdo is close to signing leases for
Blockbuster and Hollywood video stores, Starbucks and
Caribou Coffee, and Anthropologie (see

InTowner reports that an 85-unit luxury condo will be
built on vacant lot in 1400 block of RI Ave (behind
Fresh Fields). The abandoned apartment building at
1220 N will be turned into 12 condos. WMATA sites at

GEORGETOWN UPDATE:
Jack Evans is trying to arrange a $9 million facelift
for M & Wisconsin streets in G'town, including
enhanced pavements for crosswalks (which I think is
what I call curb bulbs).
Potomac RiverJet could begin ferry service as soon as
Labor Day, going to Navy Yard, Maine Avenue and
Georgetown (near Washington Harbour), plus Woodbridge
and Pentagon on the VA side, and eventually maybe even

Denmark-based upscale furniture "Bo Concept" will open
